We produce regular newsletters with heaps of information about local, regional and
national windsurf and kiting events. There’s also an updated contacts list with over 50
names and tel no’s for you to find local people to sail with in your area and at your level.
CLUB GEAR…. on loan to members !
The club own a full set of intermediate kit for windsurfers and are buying some training
kites for new kiters. These are for members to use for free to encourage friends into the
sport.
LOCAL SOCIAL SAILS & TRAINING
We co-ordinate social sails at Lake Wakatipu and other local lakes, and also publicise
training opportunities.
SUMMER BBQ’s at Frankton Beach.
From Jan to March there are beginners/improvers windsurf sessions at Frankton Beach.
The club has regular BBQ’s down here to encourage new sailors, all welcome.
PRIVATE ACCESS TO A VERY SPECIAL SPOT- JARDINES.
Jardines Beach is an amazing spot in Southerly winds. The club has negotiated access to
this spot through private land and launching rights. Club members only.
THE BIG QUEENSTOWN DOWNWINDER.
This is the clubs annual big event held late in the summer. A long downwind sail
with rescue support.. lots of fun ! Venue will usually be Glenorchy to Pigeon Island.
